Who We Treat

For patients other practices couldn't help.

Many of Mary Beth's patients arrive after rounds of conventional physical therapy, chiropractic care, or surgery have left their symptoms unresolved. The reason is often the same: the body's dysfunction lives somewhere other than where the pain shows up.

  • Herniated disk & sacroiliac pain
  • Chronic back, neck, and buttock pain
  • Thoracic outlet / inlet syndrome
  • Hip and pelvic dysfunction
  • Post-concussion syndrome
  • Post-surgical recovery — spine, pelvis, hip, knee, shoulder, ankle
  • Sports and overuse injuries
  • TMJ and jaw pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Postural and movement imbalances
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Postpartum recovery
The Approach

Less frequent visits.
Deeper changes.

Most physical therapy follows the same pattern: two or three visits a week for six to twelve weeks, treating the area where pain appears. Mary Beth's practice works differently.

By combining Postural Restoration and Barral Institute methodologies with manual therapy, exercise, dry needling, and the Neubie direct-current electrical stimulation system, treatment focuses on uncovering and addressing the source of dysfunction rather than simply managing symptoms. This approach often leads to longer-lasting outcomes with fewer treatment sessions. Many patients also experience unexpected benefits, including improvements in digestion, sleep quality, breathing, and overall well-being.

The body is interconnected. Treating only the site of pain is the slowest way to lasting relief.
The Practitioner

Mary Beth Antolini Verlander, MPT, PRC

Mary Beth began her career as a neurosurgery nurse at Georgetown University Hospital before pursuing a Master's in Physical Therapy at Emory. Three decades and continuous training later — including extensive work with the Barral Institute and Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine — her practice integrates manual therapy, postural restoration, and neuromuscular reeducation into a single coherent approach.

Her passion for this work came from being a patient herself, in search of treatment that addressed the actual cause of her symptoms. That experience continues to shape how she practices.
